Captain Dave Sherwood grew up fishing the waters of Casco Bay. Over the years, he has snorkeled, boated and fished most of the places he'll take you. A patient teacher and passionate conservationist, he'll help you with your cast or fly selection and bring you to the wild, hard-to-reach places that make Casco Bay so unique. He'll also teach you about the birds, wildlife and natural history along the way. He fishes a fly-fishing friendly 18 foot Parker well equipped for the variety of fishing found in Casco Bay, from shallow water sight casting to big-water fishing the offshore beaches and islands.
Captain Sherwood is an award-winning writer and photographer. His articles and photographs have appeared in Fly Fishing in Saltwaters, Fly Rod and Reel, Tide Magazine, On the Water, The Maine Sportsman, The Kennebec Journal, The Morning Sentinel, The Portland Press Herald and the L.L. Bean Fly Fishing catalogs. He is currently the staff outdoors writer and photographer for the Central Maine Newspapers.
Captain Dave Sherwood is an executive board member of the Coastal Conservation Association of Maine and a Registered Maine Guide.
